TOPIC: HUMAN BODY (cont.)

SCIENCE PROJECT: DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

GROUP PROJECT (2 students/ group)

1. Objectives:

During this project, you will:

- utilize what you learned about the digestive system and explain the functions of its organs.

- improve their fine motor skills while working with tools and materials.

2. Materials:

For one group:

- 1 sheet of A4 carton paper

- Digestive system template (body template and organ template)

- Scissors

- Color markers

- Food template

- Glue or double-sided tape

3. Procedure:

- Step 1: Cut out the body template and stick it into the A4 carton paper.

- Step 2: Cut out the organs in the digestive system template and stick them to the body

template in the right place.

- Step 3: Label each organ.

- Step 4: Cut out the foods in the food template. Choose one food and move it through the

digestive system in the correct order.

4. Speaking practice:

Practice in pairs and then answer some of these questions:

- What organ is it?

- What is the function of the mouth/ salivary glands/ liver/ stomach...?

- What happens to the food in the organs of the digestive system?
